There’s definitely no denying Davido’s status as a global superstar.The Nigerian singer has made headlines once again after spending an estimated $1 million (N745,000,000) in one day.
As if purchasing a rare Virgil Abloh Maybach with only 150 of its kind in the world is not enough, Davido added to his luxury purchase by going for a Patek Philippe wristwatch.
To add to the already existing buzz, the DMW boss took to his Instagram stories to share a video of himself taking delivery of the wristwatch. In the video, Davido can be heard announcing that he spent $1 million that day in addition to the caption accompanying the post, ‘enjoy spoiling myself’.
In his words:
“I like spoiling myself …I work hard, I deserve it!”
There’s no doubt that Davido is back with a bang, clearly showing that he never left. Spending such a huge sum of money could be seen as extreme or outrageous by some, but it is a representation of the fast lifestyle associated with many of the world’s most successful celebrities. It’s also a clear indicator of the level of economic success Davido has achieved.
