Simisola Kosoko, a Nigerian songstress, has proven to be an innovative artist by reaching out to her fans to give her an album title.
Through her Twitter account, Simi announced to her supporters that she had finished her upcoming album and is confused about what it should be named. She has asked her fans to provide suggestions for an album title and has thus proven her willingness to accept input from her followers.
Similarly, popular singer, David ‘Davido’ Adeleke had done the same in 2019 when he asked his fans to decide the title of his forthcoming album. This method of engaging with the audience is becoming increasingly popular and allows supporters to feel a sense of belonging and understanding with their favorite artist. It also builds a sense of trust as the artist is open to the supporters’ ideas.
He tweeted; “Gimme a name for my Album. Three songs left to record !! I want a fan to name my Album.”
