Nigerian hip hop star, Vector, has weighed in on the claims of elders in power in the country that values have been lost.
He said that the same generation that expects respect from young Nigerians is already demeaning themselves by labeling them as “unbecoming names”.
He added that these denigrating statements could have been forgiven if they were “delivering good governance” to the people.
He referred to an example of this with former Aviation Minister, Femi-Kayode, and explained why people are “trolling” him online.
He wrote; “It just occurred to me that presently, the elders we are supposed to be respecting are busy disrespecting themselves calling Their youth (the people’s future) all sorts of names. It could have made pardonable sense if they (the “elders” ) were truly excellent in public office.
For example, no one is dissing FFK because he looks like a fly frog on aviators on his dp. No, they diss him because he’s not a man of any of his plenty academically sound utterances. These are men of Public office representing the people they are fighting lol.”
