Nigerian singer Portable recently took to his social media page to express his anger and disappointment about being sprayed with fake currency at his show in Shagamu, Ogun State. This comes as a result of the current naira notes scarcity in the country which has led to concertgoers printing their own currency to spray at shows.
In a video posted on his page, Portable displayed wads of fake money fans sprayed him at his show. Calling out the failure of the federal government, he blamed the government’s inability to provide enough official naira notes as the cause of the scarcity leading to this incident.
He also used the opportunity to remind Nigerians of the need to stay safe amid the current insecurity in the country.
